EMILY PENNELL

Emily is an Audit Supervisor and is responsible for all aspects of audit engagements, from planning and performing fieldwork to assisting in the analyzation of high-risk areas.

 With extensive experience in all elements of accounting and business management, Emily has valuable insight into the industries she serves, which primarily comprise financial institutions and employee benefit plans, including 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, and employee stock ownership plans. She conducts audits of private and public companies in accordance with U.S. generally accepted auditing standards, as well as the standards of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Emily has SEC experience with public reporting companies, which includes assisting clients with filings under the 1933 and 1934 Acts, reporting requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework (2013) compliance, and obligations under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.

 Emily maintains excellent client relations and is dedicated to preparing and coordinating the financial statement audit to exceed client expectations. She works with clients to help them thoroughly understand and work through various complex accounting and financial matters that impact their business.
