Robert R. McDonough, Jr. MBA, CPA - Principal, Assurance Services
Bob, a Principal in the Auditing and Assurance Services Group, joined Snodgrass over 20 years ago and has experience and knowledge in audit and tax areas, with a specialization in community financial institutions and not-for-profit organizations, including A-133 audit engagements.
Bob’s clients include commercial banks, savings banks, mutual thrifts, credit unions, and not-for-profit organizations. Bob’s clients have benefited from his assistance at various stages of operation, from the many de novo organizations as well as multi billion-dollar institutions. His clients value the unique approach, where each decision and all advice and information given are based on that specific client’s situation, regardless of whether it’s about SEC registration, annual reporting requirements, stock offering registrations, or policy development. Bob recently recorded a webcast which focuses on fair value accounting and how it affects financial institutions (click here for video). Additionally, Bob has been a guest speaker in a number of banking forums.

Gaining Success Through Teamwork
"During my youth in a small town, I learned to value the principles associated with athletics-sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, patience, grace under pressure and building relationships, where communication can be understood both verbally and non-verbally. Since Snodgrass has always had an approach that is relationship-driven, my earliest strengths fed into this career path well. The integrity that coaches taught me throughout my school years is a vital aspect to the promises I, as well as the rest of the Snodgrass team, will deliver. The focus on goals–whether better shot percentages or high levels of customer satisfaction–empowers us to develop an effective audit approach based on the risks and challenges of your business environment, from which we will deliver on our promise to ensure that your financial statements reflect the integrity and precision of management, as well as enhance shareholder confidence. We aim to strengthen our relationship by sharing information based on “best practices” within your industry on an ongoing basis."
