Harry E. Bertrand, CPA - Principal and Director of Assurance Services
With more than 30 years of experience, Harry’s known for his extensive knowledge of financial institutions, focusing primarily on auditing and tax situations. His clients value his thoroughness and hands-on approach, as well as the consulting expertise he provides, with the advice he offers being unique to each client.
Harry’s clients include commercial banks, savings banks, mutual thrifts, trust companies, and credit unions. He has assisted clients at various stages of operation, from start-up and de novo to well-established institutions, who are looking for an individualistic approach, where knowledge is imparted at each step of the auditing process.
His clients value the insight he brings to each engagement, whether it is about SEC registration and annual reporting requirements, stock offering registrations, branch acquisition pricing, or policy development. Harry recently recorded a webcast which focuses on the design, implementation, and reporting requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (click here for video).
Harry is a Certified Public Accountant with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Slippery Rock University. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and the societies of Certified Public Accountants of New York and New Jersey. Harry also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Slippery Rock University Foundation. In that capacity, he also sits on the Foundation's finance/audit and executive committees.
