I was drawn into accounting
because of a fascination with financial transactions, but it was the variety
of the challenges that drove me to make it my career. I enjoy the prospect of
helping clients solve their problems and achieve their goals. No two situations
are exactly alike and that allows you to use your imagination within the constraints
of applicable regulations.
I particularly remember working on a merger that was stalled because of certain
issues. We proposed a structure that neither the buyer nor seller had previously
considered. Although it was a bit unorthodox, the transaction was completed and
both sides accomplished what they wanted.
The ability to consider more than one possible solution is crucial in finding
the best answer. And since we want the best for our clients we are always searching,
always gaining knowledge. In that respect I find that a versatile mind can be
a great asset and I never want to stop learning.
