"Growing up I could always see the large role taxes play in everybody's life.
Every April, when my brothers and I would see my father head to the kitchen table
with a stack of half-opened envelopes containing "important tax information" under
one arm and a variety of forms and instructions under the other, we knew that
for the next several hours he would be disposed trying to calculate that magical
refund or tax due amount. In addition to that annual ritual was my uncle, who
owned a small business, constant complaint that the government was trying its
best to "tax him out of business". While I was too young to fully understand
the ramifications of the tax system, there was no doubt to me that whatever it
was, it certainly played a large role in people's lives."
"Now that I have the education and the experience to truly see the role taxes
play in the life of the average person and business I enjoy using that knowledge
to help others. It is fulfilling to know that I can take one worry someone may
have and take it away from them, allowing them to concentrate their efforts on
the other things in their life/business"
